ACADIA 2006: Synthetic Landscapes
The conference in Louisville was very inspirational, particularly with regard with new soon to be built “NON_STANDARD” praxis work, informed by parametric modeling. The most interesting, in my view was the work of Thom Faulder’s BEIGE DESIGN. Several of the new works on display at the conference were brought to fruition thanks to the generative virtuosity of Sean Alhquist from Proces2. Sean’s development of complex parametric meshes was evident in his contributions to both Faulder’s and Iwamoto Scott’s work on exhibit at the conference. I’m sure we will be seeing more of Sean’s emerging parametric work in the near future. |
